When it comes to airdrop farming/hunting, you will need some sort of an edge. It's either you have a lot of capital to spare or you are an early bird. I don't have that much money to spread around, so I choose the latter option and always try to scout projects at their early stages.
My latest finding, Open Delta is a very interesting new project on Solana. It's like the S&P of crypto, and the token, OG30, is tracking the top 30 crypto assets. So basically, when you hold OG30 and the large caps do well, OG30 performs well.
Additionally, OG30 offers risk-adjusted yields from staking assets, such as ETH, BNB & SOL, as well as lending assets, including BTC & XRP.
First Look
The main page looks good, explaining the basic idea clearly and also providing information about their partners and investors, which is always a good sign.
After doing some further research on CryptoRank, I noticed one of their investors is Anatoly Yakovenko, and if the name says nothing to you, he is one of the Solana founders.
According to CryptoRank, so far, they have raised a total of $2.5M, which you might consider a relatively small amount, but that's only after the pre-seed round, and the extended seed round is still undisclosed/not updated.
The App
The app and the token are already live, and you can monitor the OG30 performance here. You can also easily swap USDC to OG30 and stake it for a pretty cool APY of 32.88% which will obviously come down over time as more users find the project.
The total staked amount is currently only $146,619, and there are only 130 unique holders, which tells me we are very early with Open Delta.
Points (Airdrop incoming?)
Furthermore, Open Delta has a points program that consists of basic follow them on X, like posts, and retweet kind of stuff. There's also the Galxe task, one that I'm not going to do because I hate Galxe.
Besides the social tasks, you can also earn passive points by holding and/or staking OG30.
Providing liquidity and daily swapping tasks are currently in the plans for the future (coming soon).

Conclusion
Since Open Delta is a very new project, being cautious is always advised. Then again, doing all the social tasks costs you nothing and even though you have to connect your Solana wallet, you can always use a burner one to test things out. I took a step further and swapped $10 USDC to OG30 and staked it. This is pretty much my usual tactic when approaching new projects: trying it out with a very small amount.
In the past, Solana airdrops have been pretty good, and as I mentioned, being early can win big even if you don't have much capital. Worth seeing through in my opinion. Besides, I like the core idea; it's like crypto for very lazy people who want to do zero research but still be exposed to possible upside.
