On the smaller timeframes, gold has formed a double top, and this with a sharp downward movement. Is it now time for a little cooldown in the yellow metal?
Many targets on the downside are open and waiting for a pullback sooner or later. I've marked the three most important ones with a grey line, as this is where the breakout levels are concentrated. In the immediate vicinity, $4006 is the first target, followed by $3688 and then $3387.
My first entry point around the $1800 mark is still very far away, and I consider it unlikely for now that we'll reach it with one big slide. Nothing is impossible, of course, but I would need to see active signals to jump on that train. However, I currently rule out holding active short positions because we don't have any active signals—just look at the blue wall of bullish signals.
As soon as the first red signals appear there, I will become active. But until then, it's all about making adjustments.
By the way, silver has also executed a nice sell-off. One possible scenario is a "Ballkönigin" (Queen's Ball) pattern that could be forming here. I've drawn the pattern in; five-wave structures often have a lot of potential. As soon as we exceed the high, everything is fine again, of course, but until then, caution is advised.
Golden Bear Setup (Ballkönigin)
Auf den kleineren Zeiteinheiten hat das Gold ein Doppel Top gebildet und dies mit einer scharfen Abwärtsbewegung. Ist jetzt die Zeit für ein wenig Abkühlung im gelben Metall?
Viele Ziele auf der Unterseite sind offen und warten auf einen Rücklauf über kurz oder lang. Die wichtigsten drei habe ich mal markiert mit einer grauen Linie, denn hier ballen sich die Ausbrüche. Im näheren Umfeld sind die 4006 $ als erstes Ziel und im folgenden dann auch noch die 3688 $ und die 3387 $.
Mein erster Einstiegspunkt bei der 1800 $ Marke ist noch sehr weit entfernt und ob wir dies mit einer großen Rutsche erledigen, halte ich erst mal für unwahrscheinlich. Unmöglich ist natürlich nichts jedoch möchte ich dafür doch bitte aktive Signale sehen, um auf den Zug auch aufspringen zu können. Aktive Shorts haltig allerdings für ausgeschlossen derzeit, denn aktive Signale haben wir nicht, siehe die blaue Wand an bullischen Signalen.
Sobald die ersten roten Signale dort entstehen, werde ich aktiv werden aber bis dahin heißt es erst mal Anpassungen vorzunehmen. Silber hat übrigens auch einen schönen Abverkauf hingelegt. Ein mögliches Szenario ist auch die Ballkönigin, die hier entstehen könnte. Ich habe das Muster mal eingezeichnet, fünf wellige Konstruktionen haben es oft in sich. Sobald wir den Höchststand überbieten, ist natürlich wieder alles gut, bis dahin heißt es jedoch Obacht.
