These CEX issues have been happening since the beginning. Of course a DeFi DEX, for example Bitshares, is the answer however they are all very complex to use for the average person.
CEX is convenient having the ability to store different chains in one place AND convert in/out of Fiat. This becomes a major issue when trying to self custody multiple chains, balancing multiple wallets, all with different ways to store/backup keys.
Blockchain apps need to be simplified, otherwise well continue to see the growth of other investment avenues like btc etf's.
