Buddhist Philosophy
Aside from being compassionate towards others and expressing gratitude for what we already have, Buddhism also stresses the importance of impermanence.
Impermanence is the concept that everything in life is temporary, and therefore we must learn to let go. Buddhism teaches us to detach ourselves from the physical realm, in order to live more peacefully.
When you think about it, everything in our lives is indeed temporary. The apartments we live in, the furniture we decorate them with, and even the cells in our body come and go over time.
Therefore, Buddhism recommends that we become minimalists, detaching ourselves from any physical possessions, striving to be present in the current moment (mindfulness).
Cryptocurrency
In some ways, cryptocurrency allows us to further detach from the physical world. Rather than a bank account which is tied to your identity and may store cash, gold, or other physical items, a crypto balance simply resides in "the cloud".
Your balance is merely an entry in a decentralized database, and nothing more. A secret seed phrase, which could be whispered to a close family member or friend (or simply forgotten), is all that makes the balance "yours".
Similar to physical possessions, cryptocurrency projects come and go as well. That is why it is often said "don't marry your bags," as you may become so emotionally attached to a certain token that you become blinded to its flaws and potential pitfalls.
Until next time...
Cryptocurrency allows us to live both freely and as minimalists. We can live more peaceful lives by avoiding attachment to material things, and instead let life flow through us without trying to grasp onto anything that may be passing by.

I wonder if non-attachment and detachment are different things. Maybe Detachment is the lack of desire, non-attachment is rising above your desires to the degree that your state doesn’t swing based on whether or not they are there.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting something, even having a deep desire for it, but will the absence of that thing change me or cause me great disturbance? I hope not.
I do not seek to eliminate or even dampen my desires, I merely seek to be at peace whether or not they come to pass. Then again I wouldn’t describe myself as Buddhist even if I’ve been influence a lot by Buddhism.
I agree.
I don't think striving to achieve something is necessarily wrong, so long as you are ultimately outcome independent, and understand that all if it is just a temporary experience on your journey.
Perhaps "non-attachment" is a better way to phrase it.
That is an interesting take about Cryptocurrencies and I agree with it

Interesting take, I didn't see it that way before. I think having crypto in the digital realm where it constantly fluctuates could be a gateway to learn detachment that could later be also applied into other areas of life.
A secret seed phrase, which could be whispered I can imagine whispering my 17 digit Bitcoin address to my wife. 0XveiYthSjeshsjce. 😂 . It is quite unsettling to say we are here on a temporary basis however but it is true. You come in with nothing and go out with nothing.
