For many people working in a broken and unsustainable system, it may not be by choice. They may not be able to handle the cost of switching to the newer and sustainable system.
Like taking the vaxx, I agree it's not any easy choice for many people, but it all depends on how much you're willing to sacrifice to live by your principles.
