RE: Making budget

I'm fortunate to be working in an essential industry in a role which only a very small number of people in the company are trained to do, so I've had no real impact other than having to work from home more than in the office. I do, however, anticipate that our annual bonus conversations will be around smaller numbers than in recent years with Covid-19 wearing a significant amount of the blame.

I saw the government has made some changes to JobKeeper beyond September indicating that this scenario is going to keep playing out. It will be interesting to see how companies and businesses react to the reduced amount of JK payment.

Very interesting indeed. You can get a bit of an idea what types of businesses have been able to adapt and thrive in the current environment, and those which have really struggled to do so.

For a lot of small businesses the real squeeze will come when eligibility for government payments gets tighter both for them and for their customers...

Yep, exactly! Good to hear the brickstore is going from strength to strength though. A good news story in little old Tassie. 😉

Yes, it's certainly keeping me busy at the moment, which is not a bad thing. Sleep is overrated anyway right?

You can sleep when you're dead...Bon Jovi told me so...Figured I'd pass that gem of wisdom on. 😂
