One option you mentioned is staying in HBD Savings, the other to withdraw (some) to buy $SURGE. You already mentioned higher yield of $SURGE. What makes you consider the former?

That's because of the simplicity of it and being able to access the funds if I needed in a short time. With SURGE, I would need to put them on the market and wait for the order to fill in alongside with being exposed to market volatility.
You still need to do that with HBD but I agree $SURGE liquidity is still unproven and the occasional HBD depeg tends to be bearable.
