Small communities. Or "Families" / tribes.
Imagine if you will, that water, internet and electricity can be made anywhere. We also have these automated small rail systems (raised so that wildlife doesn't get in the way) that interconnect all the "families". So, these can be built anywhere the geology / protection is good.
So, the "families" of the future will live in these small communities, with large, multi person buildings.
Think tiny apartments surrounding a central area of shared rooms for meetings, activities, play, gaming.
And these buildings will be VERY efficient, with passive heating and cooling. (and hail shields)
Modern, ticky-tacky, stick built, single family houses won't be livable, even if they are free.
