Trump's tariffs have resulted in importers hiking up prices on there products. I work in the liquor industry so I get to see the effects 1st hand.

When the tariffs were announced early this month my employer immediately cut hours and overtime lol...like overnight.

A lot of our product comes from Canada and Mexico so its no shocker. Combine that w/ the recent addition of robot #AI employess its obvious where things are headed.

Have yall seen any effects in the stores? #news #trump

I always felt consumers are going to suffer for this one way or the other

indeed...just gotta find out how to be on the other side of the ledger

Yep, the owner will never suffer this, he just pass it on the consumer

this is going to shake things up and get people to actually start producing stuff here vs importing. Now with beer, wine, liquors, that’s a bit different because many are regional. I see hefty price increases in imported booze and more people going for domestics. But I quit drinking 2.5 years ago, so no worry to me, haha. At least for alcohol.

Yea I heard the cost of beer is really causing a hurting.

But I’m w/ u on that 1…I have an occasional sip of wine here and there but alcohol as an expense isn’t a reality for me anymore.
