In life, one of our biggest challenges is being able to distinguish between the demands of our higher calling, and that of our lower calling (the ego). In most cases these are opposing forces, but there are instances when we should be focused on reconciling the two. This is the act of transmuting the poison into honey.

It's been put on the record that some individuals are able to ingest venom and not experience the same effects as common man. We are most vulnerable and restricted when our ego is the driving force in our lives. And if the ego is driving, its likely running on an inferior fuel source. Once we place it permanently in the passenger seat, we open ourselves up to infinite possibility.
