Hello Hivers, Today I am going to share about Web3 and its challenges.
what is web3?
Web3 is called third generation world wide web. Web3 also known as a decentralized web refers to the use of blockchain technology with decentralized applications (dApps) and services built and run on the internet. Features that web 3 can provide are such as decentralization, open source, blockchain, security, and privacy.
Before web3 there were traditional website versions such as web 1.0 and web 2.0, but the problem with web 1.0 and web 2.0 is that they are centralized websites. So the big company could control users' data the way they want. Web3 does not rely on a single authority, instead, its distributed among its users.
HIVE is the best example of web3 a decentralized website where dApps and services are built and run on it. There are some web3 projects are running. Still, Mass adoption on web3 is not yet possible, because web3 is in its early stages of development and adoption but it has the potential to change things on the internet in a positive way.
Current Challenges of Web3
Here are some possible potential challenges of Web3.
- Ownership Concern
- Scaling Challenges
- Security concern
- Regulating Issues
1. Ownership Concern
In web3 there is no single authority. Ownership is distributed and hence it may create problems in the future.
2. Scaling Challenges
Web3 needs to handle large amounts of data and transactions. That can cause limitations on speed and capacity. This could be a big concern in web3.
3. Security Concern
Web3 involves handling large amounts of sensitive data and funds. Hackers and Malicious actors may attempt to steal that data and funds through various means, such as phishing attacks, malware, or exploiting vulnerabilities in the code.
4. Regulating Issue
Because of distributed nature of web3, there is a possible regulating issue.
