For anyone who underperformed during this rally: it sucks. Underperformance can happen even in rallies that feel like money is raining from the heavens and leave some empty‑handed
The worst example was 2019, when being heavily long through the rally still produced about a 30% loss. Oversizing positions while losing can dig a huge hole that may not be recovered until a major rebound, like in 2020
