Im still not getting the point of SPT though,I mean I can't use it in the game directly, that would be nice, or if there as a SPT DEC conversion or something like that, I haven't sold any of mine just staking it to support curation but hope they find some more use cases for it in the game

That can be easily achieved through SPT - HIVE - DEC although exchanging directly could be one option as well, but not limited to it. I believe that the Splintertalk will only grow in the future, it will gain more revenue from Ads and it can move in different directions. It is the only content creation portal for the entire Splinterlands ecosystem, so if we would only count 1 : 1 with the players we would have a great auditory for it.

Yes I get that but you'd need to earn a big amount of SPT and rank the market just to get a few DEC, there is very little liquidity as with most HE tokens and I think it needs to be integrated more into the game, its clearly a traffic generator for the game.
If say for example SPT holders could get discounts at the store it may encourage staking or some sort of in-game advantages to getting and keeping hodl of SPT
