The best thing about Splinterlands is that it offers both the advantage for investors, whether to play actively or generate passive income from your assets. Now, this is great because everyone has their own priorities someone might spend some time playing whereas some have other priorities and thus cannot play. So for both of them, Splinterlands offers something or the other to continue earning on the platform.
Active on Splinterlands
Say you are active on Splinterlands, so you have the option to play the game like the daily battle where you get Daily Focus points to get chests along with that you also get season points to get chests at the end of the season. The chests give you rewards like SPS, Potions, Cards and other things. The more chests you have, the more rewards you can expect.
Along with that you also get some SPS for every battle you play. This is about the battle, then you have events which when you participate fetch you some rewards if you play well. And then there are other options like posting daily on SplinterTalk to get rewards, and participating in writing challenges which do not involve playing actively but will require you to be active on the splinterlands.
Passive on Splinterlands
Now there are players who have other priorities and cannot spend time playing the game and for them passively earning on Splinterlands is the best option. For this, you don't have to do anything other than rent out your assets or participate in some of the pools. Some people also move from Active to Passive if they are playing for long and do not find any enjoyment in it anymore. Like, if you are doing the same thing over and over again for years you might get bored of it and thus move to passive for some time.
Rentals are the most awesome source of in-game income which is good for people who have invested heavily and thus want to get some passive income out of it.

I am not so sure about investing time and money in this game now.
I am far behind for generating a passive income from the game. The assets I own are mostly from chaos legion and they are worthless..
And afraid to invest now as I lost confidence and money in my previous investments.
