My family was after me on taking them to a movie called Mahavtar Narshimha. It is an animated devotional film on Lord Narshimha & Bhakt Prahlad. So my family were telling me from the last 3 to 4 months to take them to the theater for watching the movie. Now th cost would be around Rs 1.5K if the family of 5 going to watch it including everything.

Now since the movie is in Netflix, I have the subscription for Rs 199 for a month and full family watched it today. So basically I have saved around Rs 1.3K. I know watching that in a theater would have been different experience. But still, it was not really about the money only, it was about the time too as we were getting only Sunday together and there was some or the other things were we have to stay at home. So I thought it's better to go with the Netflix.
So I feel with Netflix and Amazon Prime having all the newest movies in them, going to the theaters is not making sense anymore. As the time is also saved as well as the cost is also less. For example, with Netflix and Amazon Prime, we would br paying around Rs 3500 for a year or Rs 300 per month. But if we go to the theater then we can go only to 3 to 4 movies in a year for that Rs 3500 per year.
And if someone is actually looking to save some money on watching movies, then I feel Netflix is better option than the theater. But if you are looking for the experience then I feel going to the theater would be better. And the best part is that you can stop the subscription on Netflix whenever you want. So if you have watched good movies you can stop the subscription and when the movies come, start the subscription.
