From last 1 week my bike started giving some issues. There was oil leak as well as some other things. I went to a service center and now the bill is coming around 13K which is a lot of amount. There was a lot of parts got changed and that's why the cost came this much and since my bike is around 8 years old, I feel from now on the price of service will be on a higher side.

So 13K is fine to be honest as it is my first service that is costing this much. The maximum I have paid is around 3K so it is around 4x the amount. Now since 13K is high, but I have to pay the amount as there is no other option. Now this is an unexpected expense which I have to pay from my pocket. And as per the title the unexpected expense can come anyday. This is my unexpected expense this month and thus I have to pay for it.
Now the problem is if I didn't have the money available then I have to take it out from the emergency fund. And that's why the emergency fund is so much important. When the emergency comes you can use that money to pay the amount. For example, if I didn't had the money available I have to take it out from the emergency fund.
One other option is to use the credit card, pay using the Credit card so that you will have 45 days to pay the amount. So by that time you will have that amount otherwise you can pay using the emergency fund itself. So be prepared for the emergency at any time because you might need the fund anyday.
