Things are bad here and they were much worse. Food is very expensive but at least now there is plenty even if we don't produce much of it. A few years ago, the controls, corruption, and the idea of controlling the people created a terrible shortage of basic foodstuffs, so much so that there was a black market for these products. Services are terrible and fuel is scarce especially outside Caracas the capital because despite being an oil-producing country they have destroyed the industry so much that we don't even produce our petrol.
The world economy is going very badly and sadly not only here the money is increasingly going to few hands and it is the common people who are suffering the effects of the crisis.
