I continue to play and grind my way up in the Mobile Blockchain NFT Play2Earn Game Clash Of Streamers while keeping up with the development. This is everything that happened last month...


Right now, Clash Of Streamers is still in a very low profile mode while the new expansion is being worked on. This tends to be an excellent accumulation zone and that's what I'm currently doing. The entire process of getting the game off the ground very much reminds me of Splinterlands which took some years of making adjustments and getting things right before it really took off. However, once growth came, it came so fast and furious that it blew everyone away. Pretty much everyone who reacted coming in the game because of the hype kicked themselves for not getting in early. All the players that believed in the team seeing the potential of the game grinding for years for what used to be very low rewards ended up doing extremely well.

I'm quite sure that for Clash Of Streamers, the growth pattern will be similar even though I don't see 10x-100x gains overnight like in Splinterlands. You already now see the benefits of getting in early as some of the recent nerfs are in fact crazy buffs for old players who get to keep their benefits going forward.


Clash Of Streamers Development News

1. Land Expansion
This is still in the works and they are making progress, there is no date yet when it will be released and the way these things go is that it takes longer than expected.

This is just a demo version that was shown on how building will work without the actual visuals that will be in the game.


2. Skin Buring Mechanic & Paying with in-game assets
It will be possible to use in-game assets along with PRPS to pay for things like exporting, buying land, and I think also buying deals in the game. All types of pet skins will have a certain value attached to them (some will be worth nothing to avoid alt account abuse) and it will be possible to burn them which fills up a meter to get what you desire. There is also going to be an exclusive NFT hero each month that only can be bought this way.

This should increase the demand for PRPS as it will likely be the easiest way to buy land even though the price was not disclosed yet.

The main issue I see and this goes for the game in general is that it is still way too free2play friendly which will never work as everyone that earns for free pretty much takes from the ones who are paying who won't keep putting up with it. I do very much like the charity aspect that will be implemented (see below) and think this is the direction they should go in to make it all sustainable. Alt accounts that are just able to collect 100 free pets each day without any intention to spend money will result in the same issues Splinterlands had with players & bot farms that just bought the spellbook to collect rewards and earnings from there on out hurting the economy. I'm quite sure that free2play accounts are going to have to be nerfed to the ground one way or another. Being this Free2Play is nice to get things going at the start but it won't last.


3. Big Nerfs
The anticipated nerfs were implemented and I made a seperate post on them 10 days ago:

  • Insanity Boost -> Nerfed: The Free Sale Points were removed, old accounts get to keep them and will continue getting 5 sale points each level they clear which gives them a crazy advantage over newer accounts. For this reason, they will be labeled as Legacy account getting their own leaderboard.
  • Account Level Boost -> Nerfed: what used to be a 5$ deal giving 5 Sale Points now was bumped up to a 10$ deal.
  • TTTT Vouchers -> Nerfed: Exclusive Skins can no longer be included in TTTT Voucher Max Bulk Deals.
  • Marketplace Refresh Cost -> Nerfed: This was one of the best ways to spend gems in the game and the cost to refresh now will increase every 10 refreshes.

It's a thin line to the point where the game becomes just too expensive for players who are willing to spend money to progress faster while more nerfs are needed for those that have no intentions to do any spending.


4. Daily Deal Subscription Coming
The best deals in the game now are the 0.5$ deals which include sale points and are available for each account in a limited quantity. A subscription deal that buys these automatically each day will most likely be introduced in the game.

5. Advertisement & Store Listing
They are still on a low profile right now when it comes down to advertisement and they are testing still new things like the game of the game. One of them is Selfie Mini Games Play & Earn because it clearly explains the game to new players who unlock different mini-games as they start playing and are able to earn a bit on the side while playing. They also aim to advertise and adjust the initial experience in the game based on gender since girls are a big part of the market and they connect to different things. The fact that the game asks to take a selfie allows them to do this. Guys will get a tutorial that is focused on the battles, while girls will see most of the focus on match-3.

They are also still experimenting with making different kinds of ads to see what works best. In the past, the advertisements with the comparison between Axie Infinity targeting that audience worked well but by now this is kind of old news so they will need to continue being creative in these things.


6. Weekly Update Stream

While the daily streams that include some updates on the game continue, there now is a weekly update stream that is also aimed toward the people that are making the game on Sunday. This now makes it much easier to keep up to date with what is going on.


7. Spellbook Passive Crypton Generation Increase

I wrote about this last month and the change went through now earning 1300+ Crypton Daily from a Spellbook that is maxed out. This is another thing where getting in early gives crazy benefits as the period where you are able to get passive Crypton from maxing out the spellbook is longer compared to those who get in at a later stage.


8. Earnings Report & Numbers

Some numbers were shared on how much the game is earning. From the looks of it, most start off buying deals in the game itself using apple or google. Most people that continue spending move over to using the G4G Store using PRPS which offers a much cheaper price both because 1 PRPS counts for 13$ of in-game purchase giving 30% more based on the sell-wall price while PRPS itself is trading well below that.

These are the numbers of purchases done on G4G I assume calculated at the price of 13$ for 1 PRPS. All this is supply that gets burned.

Numbers from the Play Store purchases that compared CoS to competing games were also shared.

All the numbers look good as players are actually spending money indicating that CoS outperforms the averages like crazy.


9. Charitable Efforts
The main goal why the game was created in the first place is as a way to fund the charity efforts of the team. There are plans to make it much more central in the game and they are most likely going to work with Save The Children as a way to have verified accounts for really poor people. So players that have assets in the game will be able to give sub-plots to verified poor people putting NFT heroes on there which gives part of the passive earnings to those in need. On top, these verified accounts will be able to sell a certain amount of PRPS each month as the sell-wall price directly to the team. There are also going to be leaderboards showing players that provide the most charitable behavior and there will likely be ways to directly support also. Right now they are also taking in Ukraine Refugees as they have spare rooms in their building.


PRPS & DUBI Update

There actually was a lot of crazy good news for PRPS while this has yet to reflect into the price. PRPS will become more central in the game itself allowing players to directly pay with it to but land and such as the value of 1 PRPS = 13$ giving a nice discount over the 10$ which where the sell-wall is at. This alone should increase the demand once the expansion comes The main dev doesn't like the fact that PRPS is trading so much below the value it provides in the game and is looking to scoop up all PRPS from the undercutters to sell it back at a price just below the Sell-wall making a profit in the process. The only way new PRPS is created is by it coming from the actual sell-wall while a lot is being burned each day. With supply going down and demand set to go up, price logically has to follow. Right now there is a very small liquidity pool which makes it so that it's hard to buy or sell a lot without moving the price. The demand is limited to a core fanbase of who many already have quite some stacked with an eye on the long run. Some players most likely are taking profit on their earnings in the game while likely some that got in at lower levels are out of patience or need the money now.

Personally, I continue to accumulate more with spare crypto funds I am earning, and being invested has been quite a comfortable ride during this bear market. While BTC is down around -37% since the start of the year and many altcoins over -60%, PRPS since the start of the year is only down around -12% based on current price. Over the course of a year, BTC is down -17% while PRPS is up around +70%. That is without the 4% DUBI that is paid out for locking coins for 1 year. Right now at the current 5.85$ price, the returns for locking are +6.84%. The game and the money it is making also support these returns so it's not like most crypto where everything is pulled out of thin air.


Purely from a Risk-Reward angle, PRPS right now offers a crazy good deal. It's not a coin that will make poor people rich, but when you have some more meaningful money to spare combined with trust in the game and the development team it's a no-brainer. I have been cost-averaging more since mid-march at an average price of 6.23$. Part of it, I just plan to add to my long-term PRPS holdings while some of it I plan to take profit on when hype-mode kicks in.

Personal Clash Of Streamers Game Progress

I'm still playing daily and also buying some TTTT Vouchers at a discount that I used to but exclusive skins & Account Level Boosts. Since those both were nerfed since it was crazy overpowered, I now switched to selling Vouchers regularly to reach 1 Million Crypton.

Conclusion

Right now, things are quite slow for Clash Of Streamers but there are a lot of new things to come which makes it an excellent time to accumulate and grind in anticipation for a hype-cycle which will provide a good opportunity to make some decent profit. The window of maximum opportunity is slowly closing with a couple of big nerfs last month, but I don't think it's too late by any means as the game is still way too Free2Play right now. Everyone who is interested to explore the Play2Earn space pretty much has nothing to lose by at least trying out what the game is about making up their own judgment. The game itself has been pretty fun since the start and it's mostly nice to see the work being done now on the play2earn and NFT aspects of the game. It for sure is going to be interesting once the expansion is released and focus gets shifted to advertisement again which should pump the price.
