With my first full season playing Sorare.com completed, I'm now looking to expand things to the point where I'm able to also enter the Rare Cap 240 League in the 2023-2024 season.
I have really grown to enjoy the Sorare Fantasy Football NFT Play2Earn Game last year. This combined with player prices that crashed and the 50$ guaranteed payout each time your team scores 250 points or more made me take the step to also get into Rare Cards.
I put myself on a ~500€ for the coming 2023-2024 season and didn't have any patience taking some risk on uncertain players toward next season that have quite some potential.
Initial Buys

I took a Gamble on Warleson asmy goalkeeper but kind of fear that he won't end up being the 1st goalkeeper in the end which also reflected in the price. Didillion was loaned out to Monaco where he never played and now is back with just 1 year of contract left. I hope they want to capitalize on him now instead of running the risk to see him go for free. I have considered getting Van Crombrugge from Anderlecht as Verbruggen will leave nearly for sure. It is by no means sure however as Anderlecht also wants to get rid of high-salary-cost players of which Van Crombrugge is one of. Ashimeru still has a conrtract until 2025, he played 1845 minutes last season which is 2nd highest of the midfielders and was able to put up good stats and be one of the better players so I expect him to be in the team next season.

I managed to get Central Defender
Tsuyoshi Watanabe in an auction for 86.19€ in anticipation for him to make a transfer to either Club Brugge or AA Gent and the news of him moving to Gent got confirmed a couple days after where he should be a starter. He was the player with most minutes in the league last year and one of the revelations who didn't go unnoticed. The fact that he moved to a team that likely also will play in europe and where he will be one of the key defensive players gave his price a small boost now going for over 100€
Smail Prevljak was the main striker of Eupen for many years especially in the past being a guarantee for a ton of goals. 28 (2014-2015) / 18 (2015-2016) / 4 (2016-2017) / 32 (2017-2018) / 20 (2018/2019) / 6 (2019-2020) / 15 (2020-2021) / 9 (2021-2022) / 6 (2022-2023). He's now 28 wants to leave Eupen but hasn't gotten a new team yet. Anderlecht is interested but his saraly requirements are quite high which is the main issue. He for sure has the potential to be the main starting striker that scores a lot even though he didn't have his best season and might not get back to the times when he scored 20+ a season. For the price of 56.15€ however, I was willing to take the risk.
Steven Alzate was on load from Brighton to Standard where the showed to be one of the best midfielders in the league. His loan ends and he will go back to Brighton but he did for sure spark the interest and his coach Deila wants him to be transferred to Club Brugge. So far nothing is in the works yet which brings the risk of him being back in Brighton on the bench. This again is one of those players that has good stats where I'm able to willing to pay the affordable price of 65.66€ taking the gamble for him to potentially get a transfer to a Belgian Top team where he will be a starter. His average stats over the last 15 matches was 59 which makes him less suited for the Cap240 league but if he plays next season and performs or gets transfered, his value should go up and I might take profit to buy other players. There are only only 11 in circulation so demand might get higher than the supply.
The big difficulty with the Cap 240 League is that you can't just field all good players with high stats. You need at least sone players with lower stats that will outperform these over time. In that regard, I bought
Aboubakary Koita from Stvv who in my view wasn't utilized properly under the Stvv coach Bernd Hollerbach. He mostly was a substitute player who was put as the defensive left wing while he shines much more of the offensive end. He's able to make an action and has a good shot while isn't best defensively. The danger the team managed to create without him most of the time was day and night. With the coach leaving along with many players, I hope he gets his place in the team as a more offensive player or at worst case remains the players who always comes in later in the match to possibly make the difference.
Owning 6 Rare cards now, I'm able to enter 2 more competitions (Cap 240 Rare & Kickoff Rare). I likely will need a couple more just to be a bit more comfortable while always being able to stay below the 240 points cap. Right now, my team fills 238 points so It's very close.

Conclusion
I highly look forward to the 2023-2024 Season in Sorare and am somewhat ready for it with 1 Goalkeeper, 1 Defender, 2 Midfielders, 2 Attackers. I'm still looking to get a couple more cards but will wait it out for now with an eye on transfer news. So far only 1 players is near sure to play while the others still are rather uncertain which is the reason for the more affordable price ranges.
