Sorare News!
Sorare today actually announced that they are moving to Solana (now they are on Starknet which users also got a nice airdrop from). This sould make the entire platform more accessible and connected to the crypto space and I'm looking forward to see if this can spark some more adoption. The entire announcement can be read here
I'm Still Playing Sorare!
Even though I'm no longer making weekly update posts on my Sorare Journey like the past years, I'm still playing and more or less enjoying the experience while I'm slowly getting some funds out. In the last update I managed to sell a 200$+ Reward Card Link) and made an initial Withdrawal.
I still continue to submit my teams as lottery tickes to win something big all at once or to grind some Essence in the home to get something good there. Last week I finished 101st out of 8000+ in Rare All-Star Classic which got me 250+ Extra rare Essence putting me over the 1000 Limit to have a draw.
I once again got lucky picking the best player with Maximilian Arnold, who has recently been hot as a 31-year-old midfielder from Wolfsburg with an average score of 67 and most importantly also good scores when not having a decisive.
So I put him for sale and hope to get 100$+ out of it which feels realistic.
I've been Buying Cards Again
With some of the leftover funds on my account, I have been buying a couple targeted rare cards to make my overall choicse a bit more competitive.
Lendfers is currently the 2nd goalkeeper at Stvv while Kokubo is getting a bit more critisism as of late. I bought him as a rare in a direct sale with 50% discount and I do see a chance for him to get his chance at some point maybe becoming the first goalkeeper next season. Under 23 Goalkeepers are always cards when bought cheaply that can highly appreciate in value.
Magnee is one of those players with a smaller team that systematically gets higher scores and seeing him for sale for just 0.81€ felt like a total steal. Right now he's going for 5€+ and he helped me win last weekend as one of the players in the team with a good score.
Foulom is another players where for just a 1.19€ price to get as a rare card felt like a nice opportunity as very offensive defensive wingers who also give assists or score at times tend to do well as defenders..
Van Der Heyden I bought for 3.03€ mainly because I like Gent this year and have other players from their team to potentially make a stack.
Skoras is another one of these AA Gent players, he came over from Club Brugge and now is one of the better players in AA Gent who always will play and he has been very decisive. I did pay 6.41€ for him as an attacker which is a lot less compared to what he goes for right now.
N'Diaye is one of those Anderlecht defenders who often has high scores and most importantly fits in an Under 23 team. So for 2.84€ I also didn't hesitate to pick him up.
Nozawa is an under 23 goalkeeper from Antwerp I had on my radar for a while but it was Thoelen who got the 1st goalkeeper status. That was until last weekend where this shifted. So I ended up picking him up mainly as an entry ticket for another Under 23 Rare Lineup where I have only 1 goalkeeper now.
Trying To Sell Cards
I have also tried to sell some cards while players are hot but without too much success as prices usually get undercut. I do have quite some players right now that are quite hot which I could get decent value on and I will try to put in some effort to offer them for sale on the market hoping someone picks them up.
Plans for in-Season & SuperRare ?
I did get some in-season reward cards that I haven't sold yet, and I'm kind of tempted to start making and in-season team as I have the option to use one of my classic goalkeepers which makes it cheap enough.
I also kind of started to look at the super rares with an eye on next season already. If I'm able to pick up some cheap cards starting with a goalkeeper, it might be possible to get to a full team next year and maybe win some prizes with that. If I had a 50% Discount available, I would likely buy a copy of Lendfers but for now I'm letting it all for what it is.

Conclusion
If I would be asked if I would recommend Sorare now to new players I might actually say yes but in a way where you buy a rare cassic team on a low budget just to have some fun with it without expecting any earnings. I must say that Sorare as a game has improved a lot compared to last season even though the core economy remains kind of Broken and unsustainable.
