Market Overview
One of the remarkable things in crypto as of late is that there are a lot of new projects popping up that weren't around in 2017. When it comes down to Sports Betting related blockchain projects, I haven't come across any new ones though and it feels like things are stuck with what we have now.
Especially the smaller coins who haven't seen all that much development have been suffering this last month. (SCR -31% | DBET -38% | PPY -18% | STX -21% | BETHER -24%)
The launch of Augur v2.0 wasn't exactly a success with users having to pay big gas fees on the Ethereum blockchain just to activate their accounts. This was one of those many cases where you buy the token in anticipation for some release dumping it when it arrives. It looks like they did something of an Augur v2 Redo Release that fixes some of the issues but I honestly lost interest and will take another looks at it when their betting User Interface is released.
From what It looks like, BETR got delisted from HitBTC because they had too low volume. It is however still available on Bancor
Despite the delisting, I am holding on to the BETR I'm having in hope for things to improve once Ethereum scales which is one of the things right now that is really making things impossible. The marketcap is only around 267k and it's all high-risk, high-reward
One of the main things I'm looking at on Wagerr is how many WGR got minted or burned and I'll be keeping track of this number from now on out. The main issue remains that the platform is just not user friendly to new bettors even those who are already in crypto. Having to download the chain which takes quite some time even when not having logged in will just never work if they want to get some adoption. I'm also not sure if there are any plans for a wallet that doesn't require it at all.
Month | Total Supply | Change |
---|---|---|
July 2020 | +7,546,461 WGR | - |
August 2020 | +7,245,966 WGR | -300,495 WGR |
These numbers can be found on the Wagerr Explorer ideally they would be in the minus meaning there are fewer coins making the price go up.
Sportbet.one is now listed on Coinmarketcap even though it currently is still in the Untracked Listings. From all the projects they are by far one of the most user-friendly and the number of users has been going up (slowly but steadily)

The Blitzpredict site is set to (re-)launch in September and I will be keeping my eye out for it as it seems to be the only blockchain project around Sports betting tipster and record keeping.

I'm surprised! there are so many. I only knew Augur.
I would be interested in knowing more about WINK. Do you use some WINK Dapp?
Wink.org is basically just a gambling website that has a coin which allows people to be part of the house and collect part of the earnings. The crypto part is just a convenient way to make it happen while in reality, it's all very centralized. I have been making weekly reports for a while keeping track of the Dividends and what has been going on with them (See here)
Thanks a lot
