Week 2 Results | 18W-17L-1P | -0.800 Units Loss

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

The 2nd week in the new season of the Belgian League wasn't exactly the best giving some of the profit that was made last week back. Overall It was quite a mixed week getting in both lucky positions and unlucky ones making some good calls getting closing line value and some bad calls seeing the odds go up a bit more. I did still keep my stakes on the low side so overall the damage is very much limited. Last season after 2 weeks, I had a total stake of 11.59 already being at a -3.82 unit loss while this season so far after 2 weeks I have 12.899 units staked (20.64 counting absolute stakes which went up +60% compared to last year) with just shy of 1 unit profit. In these first couple of weeks/months, results don't really say anything since there is just no volume yet whatsoever.

Losing weeks are part of the game and there are plenty more of them to come likely with some of them being massive. Proper Bankroll management combined with volume pretty much should take care of them. I'm already looking forward to the next week learning a lot about all of the teams trying to pick up on some trends that provide betting spots with some profit expectation.

Pre-Game Preview Bets

5 Pre-game selections in the published preview this week which went 1.5W-2.5L-1P getting me slightly down again on the season. I have been quite loose on them also taking up the 0.2 stake bets I take as pre-game positions. Regardless the stakes, I'm not taking any bets where I don't believe there is at least some kind of profit expectation which at the same time doesn't mean there will. So far last season included, I still wildly running above expectation and it should only be a matter of time before things regress to the mean one way or another.

Last season (See Final Results Post there were 236 of these selection which produced a whopping +30.594 units profit good for +12.96% ROI

No big bets this week that I took extra on over at Copytip where they can automatically be followed. I'm not forcing these and only the ones where the limits are actually high enough that I'm willing take with bigger stakes at once are part of these bets which I also put up in the SBC Discord Channel.

Season 2021-2022 Personal Betting Chart

Most of the value usually can be found early in the season when the markets haven't caught up on everything yet and I do plan to get less cautious now after 2 weeks of somewhat waiting it out in that regard. The only real thing that is important is to have the blue line at least around the level of the pink expected line in the long run and hopefully way above it.
