Olympic silver: Google's AI would win a medal in mathematics competition, says company
Google DeepMind, a laboratory specializing in artificial intelligence, has just announced a milestone for its artificial intelligence (AI). His language model managed to solve questions presented at this year's International Mathematics Olympiad, obtaining a score equivalent to that needed to win the silver medal.
Last week, two Google DeepMind models were applied to solve geometry, arithmetic and algebra problems. It was the first time that artificial intelligence was able to solve questions with a performance worthy of a medal in an Olympics of this type.
