Hopefully, you will start to see the benefits of using 3speak and Hive. Odessy and LBRY are good but there still seems to be a certain amount of centralisation.
Odysee is centralized? Can you elaborate as to how 3speak is not centralized and odysee is?
For me it is the premine which allocated quite a lot of LBC to Lbry.inc and the community fund. Whereas 3peak is starting with an airdrop to Hive holders, which is already quite decentralised and no money is changing hands. Premines and venture capital money will be a very big target for The SEC and other governments.
I believe the technology that underpins LBRY and Odysee is very good (I have used it myself) but, as with many cryptos, the token distribution causes concern.
I was speaking more to how the content is hosted with the peer-peer network on lbry. SPK network and threespeak, from what I understand, is not the same thing. SPK network def can be something cool and we will have to wait and see. Have you read the white papers for spk network and peerplays? Preety cool stuff from Dan.
You might enjoy this random odysee/lbry talk. I am in no way trying to promote one video platform over the other. Currently, I am tired of the extreme upload times as well as file size limit with 3speak and Odysee has a file size limit too.

The future of human society is decentralized, but it will take some time for the established patterns of 'centralized convenience' to be fully revealed as counterproductive. Youtube is an obvious example of how life can become stifled and limited as a result of centralization. If all we had was Youtube as a method of online communication we would be deaf, dumb and blind to the most important details of life.
You might feel like trying to 'beat the system' by continuing to engage Youtube/Google/Alphabet (CIA), but that literally never works - the most logical and potentially powerful solution is to operate parallel systems and 'make Youtube irrelevant'. Odyssey is also centralized and while it is a better option than Youtube, in the long run it is only truly decentralized systems that will be proven to be sustainable.
The Hive network grows due to the direct participation of it's community members, doing the work to make it evolve and grow along with our spirit and imagination. Our world has been carefully stage managed to give the false impression that the largest corporations are there because they are 'best', but in truth it is mostly window dressing and a mirage that is sustained by the collective belief in it. Getting beyond the lures that Youtube has built out of psychological manipulation, deception and herd mentality leaves us stronger and much more free to reach our own full potential. Bringing in audiences to decentralized systems is a huge gift to give to the world.
Time to prioritize and think deeply. Something to consider!
This whole situation just once again highlights that businesses can't afford to risk losing the ability to put their offer in front of their audience, by remaining at the daily whims of Web2 tech giants.
They NEED to take steps to onboard their followers to a Web3 account that they own the keys to, running on a decentralised network, ASAP.

Obviously if your audience is still on Web2 socials, you need to maintain a presence there.
But for long term censorship-resistance, it's imperative that you also funnel them onto a true Web3 account like this.
Also seems logical that someone championing crypto and decentralisation actually practises what they preach - Something that strangely enough doesn't seem to happen much!

Conservatively calculated, He could be sitting around 60 - 70k HP, and that does not include his liquid rewards, this is strctly only the HP rewards he got. That means he powered down 90% of his earnings.
In 2016 or 2017 (in my early days here) I followed him on youtube and STEEM.
He did not use his platform to promote STEEM - not even mentioning it, but talked about ETH nonstop.
He never replied to me and I stopped voting and following him on Hive, because it frustrated me.
Back then, I checked his voting pattern and concluded he's not supporting people here enough, but I can not remember which voting pattern that was.
It's his money and he can do whatever he likes.
Personally, I just think it's pathetic to ask for help from Hive (STEEM back then), when he actively chose not to support Hive (STEEM back then), when he could have. Hence my comment. Do you understand?

I totally see where you are coming from and get it. I was just looking through the past year of transactions. I tried communicating with him a couple of years back about Hive was kinda ignored or had HBD bashed by him in his live streams with him doubting its mechanisms and value. But judging off his past year of transactions I think he gets it now.
My issue with these notable youtube celebs is all too often they fail to promote Hive and are quick to copy and paste their content to Hive while cashing out the Hive they earned out. Which is why I really appreciate the @outerlight for at least promoting Hive in the first 30-60 seconds of each of his videos.
I mean a lot of these people will promote cheesy survival products or dried food for pennies but will not even mention Hive as they cash out hundreds weekly.

Followed him for a while, but not too long ago, he posted a shocking video, which really hit me hard, so I had to investigate and within 10 sec. of google search I could easily verify that his claims were serious bullshit.
He made a 30 min clip about something, which I could plausibly disprove within just 3 clicks. I concluded he is intentionally misleading his audience and unfollowed and never looked back.
I can not remember the details and I am not going to look it up again. Too tiresome. I just remember that I had good reason to unfollow.
Yeah, he definitely became lazy with his research. I was a bit irritated when I found out his so called exclusive content for threespeak/hive was not so exclusive and was posted on literally all video platforms. There was also some things I was irritated by his lazy research of late but still appreciate how he promotes Hive with every video.
For future situations like this:
The reputation is nothing but all votes an account ever got (down- and upvotes) summed up (and then logarithm 2 something, so 61 rep means twice as much votingpower went into that account (compared to 60)).
... 70+ rep should be sitting around 10k HP.
... 76 rep means roughly 50k
