This was my power up yesterday by using the HBD I had powered down an converted into Hive Power. Everyday is a good day to power up and grow your stake as you are not only helping others with your vote power, but also helping yourself grow.
In March next year I would have been on the Hive blockchain for 5 years which is a little insane as when you sign up you have no idea what you are signing up for. 5 years is a lengthy period of time in anyone's language and this is only the start it seems. If you had said back then I would be doing this 5 years later I would think you would be mad. The truth is this is fun and a way to relax escaping from the real world problems.
They say a business becomes established after 20 years as that is how long it takes to grow your customer base and become a trusted name in your industry of choice. We can look at our Hive accounts in a similar sense but would definitely say the timelines are slightly less. 10 years would be my guess of really establishing yourself giving yourself a proper future.
With that thought in mind I am nearly halfway and have another 5 years to continue to build and grow. Who knows what Hive will even look like in 5 years if we look back and compare to the changes we have seen in the last 3 years.
Hive has been the one constant in my life ever since the lockdowns started to happen and has remained a constant ever since. The world is not the same and the business I once had is not the same as there are too many obstacles not in our control blocking the growth required.
Who knows online which includes Hive may be the future and this is what life is trying to tell me. Wherever you are in the world Hive can be a part of your life and it is up to you how much you want to do. This time next year the hope is to have 100K HP powered up and that will be goal number 1 ticked. A scary number considering on March 2018 I had 15 HP on loan/delegation which decreased as you grew. This took a good 4 weeks to clear my 'debt' and had no idea 100K HP was even possible let alone a thought.
Like in anything we undertake we should always give our best shot as no one knows what the outcome will be and this could turn out to be a lucrative challenge to say the very least. The possibility of becoming a Hive millionaire due to posting and curating within a community is very real which is a whacky thought. To think we are still so early the opportunities that we have are endless.

That's an awesome power up. Congrats! I hope I can do a power up that big one day. I should have planned better back in the day when Hive was so low. I feel like my growth has been pretty slow lately.

This is the HBD I moved as thought in 2 or 3 years time when Hive is $5 I can move it back plus a whole lot more.

I have been on Hive blockchain for quite the same time - 5 years - but I went dark about after the crash in 2018 for about 2 years. Thinking about where I could have been if I was to stay and be consistent, I probably would have been similar to you. My HP is around 12k, so I would need quite a boost to catch you :)))
You can do it as all it requires is staying active each and every day.

I also started on hive about 5 years ago when it was just steem of course. It took a very long time for me to finally find my fit in the community and to understand how it all worked. Still finding and creating a good niche for myself but I feel much more comfortable than at first.
There is always so much more room for growth and new users but we need to redo the content discovery and organization for these front ends because the search functions are terrible.
