Two days ago I watched the Cryptomaniacs podcast of @jongolson and @taskmaster4450 with Nathan from @dbuzz and noticed that Jongolson was asking when a DBuzz mobile app would be available.
Nathan replied that nowadays there is no need to depend on the Apple Store and Google Play Store criteria and that is why he adopted a Progressive Web App (PWA) that being well programmed works as a native application regardless of the operating system.
Currently, I use this mechanism with PEAKD.
What are Progressive Web Apps?
Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are web applications that use modern web technologies to provide a user experience similar to that of a native mobile application. PWAs can be accessed through a web browser and can work offline, be installed on a device's home screen, and receive push notifications. PWAs are designed to be fast, reliable, and provide a native-like experience for users. This makes them a good option for companies looking to provide an app-like experience to their users without the need to develop and maintain separate apps for iOS and Android. PWAs use a combination of technologies such as service workers, web app manifests, and HTTPS to provide their advanced functionality.
How to use these PWAs?
Open the browser in PEAKD
Click on the three dots
Click on the "Install App" option
Click on Install
In the application's menu, there is an app with the PEAKD icon.
From now on, when you click on this icon, PEAKD will open as if it were a native application.
P.S: my example was made with Android, but I understand it works the same way for iOS.
I hope this tutorial has helped more people to use this feature.

Thanks for the valuable info! This is the first time I'm hearing all this and the concept sounds interesting. I'll try it out with Peakd. Does it also work with other Hive Dapps like Dbuzz?
I not tried with DBuzz but taking in consideration What Nathan said Yes shall work with DBuzz
