Life priorities

I thought I should share this…

Just read something from a woman who ended up in the ICU — all because of a kidney stone that turned into sepsis. She nearly died.
And while lying there, full of tubes and machines beeping, she realized none of the stuff she used to stress about mattered anymore.

Not her job.
Not arguments with her husband.
Not family drama.
Not the pressure to be the “perfect” anything.
Not the shopping cart full of things she didn’t need.

She said she woke up and started deleting her entire life checklist.

That line stayed with me:

“Your body is the only real asset you have.”

Honestly, it hit me.
We always say “health is important” like it’s a nice idea. But reading her story made it feel real. Like… what’s the point of everything else if your body gives out?

Made me think about how often I push through tiredness, ignore small health stuff, or stress over things that, if I’m being honest, aren’t even worth it.

So yeah, just putting this out there in case someone else needs the reminder too:
Take care of yourself. For real. Not just in theory.
Because nothing else works if you don’t.

That’s it. Just felt like it was worth sharing.

It is absolutely true that we can earn as much money as we want in this world, but if we do not have health, that money will be of no use to us. If our health is good, then we can live a good life even with less money.

So very true. Crazy that we are so used to just live that we keep forget what is the most important in life. We just keep speeding through

health is wealth man :3 gotta take care

Thanks for sharing this amazing "food for thoughts

That is why they say "health is wealth "

What an interesting read , so much to learn from this thought-provoking true life story.

There's a popular saying that "Health is wealth", and this not a cliche. Prioritizing health is the best thing one could do because we only live once.

Thank you for the timely reminder.

I was at the hospital around two days ago to teate my sicked dad, getting to the hospital and seeing a lot of sicked people some even on oxygen, I discovered that good health is really underrated

i wish a cousin of mine would see this, he tends to ignore his health concerns because he is so focused on chasing money..

Share it with him!

“Your body is the only real asset you have.”

I believe on that phrase for a very long time since I once saw a video where a man was asked if he can give up on one of his hands for million dollar and he said no. He was then asked if he was given a option to be the richest man of this world but that will come only at the cost of his life that will only be valid for 1 year. He again said no.

So our life is precious and so our health is precious! Thanks for this post.

chasing wealth is not bad but one should also put more focus on their health because one cannot enjoy the wealth if they do not have good wealth.

After 30 years I realized that health is the most important asset in life. Real estate, money, all this is in 2nd and 3rd place. People who live to 90 years and have good health and memory are rich. Regardless of how much money they have in their bank account.

So yeah, just putting this out there in case someone else needs the reminder too

What an amazing reminder

Your body is the only real asset you have.”

Without an iota of doubt. Health is the real wealth. In the material pursuit, we trade our health to gain material happiness, and later on, we spend money to regain our health. But health beyond a point does not restore.

Let's appreciate the complex engineering of our body, appreciate it, and treat it like a temple. Output is always contingent upon input. Always be mindful of what you are eating and what you are breathing.

A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Your millions of savings can not spark that happiness if you are not healthy, suffering from ailments.

Good health is underrated in this society.

Taking care of my health is a great decision to make because having a great health makes life easier and makes me to be able to enjoy whatever money I make..

That’s a great idea! :)

That is why I do not joke with my health , what is wealth when our health is not good ?? Wealth without good health is a disturbing situation..

And while lying there, full of tubes and machines beeping, she realized none of the stuff she used to stress about mattered anymore.

This is so touching

so much to learn from this

Having a great health have always been my priority because i believe that I cannot enjoy wealth when I do not have a good health.

Every wise person should learn one or two lessons from this story , saving our health is very important while we are chasing that money.

Made me think about how often I push through tiredness, ignore small health stuff, or stress over things that, if I’m being honest, aren’t even worth it.

I am so guilty of this

The weird thing is that just one bad health condition can consume the wealth of a person , so that is why it is a great opportunity to maintain a great health.

SOme of us really care about our health but it's just that we are involved in some kind of hustles that make us too busy for medical checkups..,but the lesson I learnt is that one should monitor their Health no matter their busy schedule.

i felt so emotional reading this true life story , thanks for sharing..the story is also educating too.

She said she woke up and started deleting her entire life checklist.

This part really touched me

I just lost my sister in law. Just 48 years old. She got some kind of pancreatic infection and it spread to the rest of her body. She died of sepsis/ total organ failure.

I went through something similar as a teen. It took months to diagnose as the stones multiplied and the infection ate away at my body. I had gall stones at 16. Thank god they found it when they did. It was a very close call.

I used to be guilty of prioritising wealth over my heart but now I have learnt some lessons from this story and I will make amendment
