I can’t believe we’re back at a price level I once thought was the bottom during the bear season... :( It’s kind of sad to see how $HIVE is in bad shape right now compared to a few months ago, when I believed it was about to take off. If I remember correctly, there was a time when it just kept climbing until it reached $0.60, and then the price started to dwindle. That’s exactly the price someone once mentioned when saying Hive wouldn’t perform as well in this cycle compared to the previous one. And now, I’m beginning to understand what they meant.
It seems like $0.60 might have been the peak for Hive in this cycle, and things could get even worse in future ones. This might not be Hive’s time, but that doesn’t mean we should lose hope completely.
If Hive doesn’t experience a major bull run, then this might turn out to be the least exciting cycle for it so far. Regardless of the coin’s poor market performance, I want to emphasize that Hive offers more than just price speculation. We still have dApps and real use-cases to explore beyond just discussing token value.
Hive’s social networking capabilities remain the chain’s main use case. However, gaming seems to be gaining ground as well. Some games have already gained the traction they needed, while others are still in development. I just hope the teams that started building these games can bring them to life so early supporters can actually enjoy the experience.

What development am I personally excited about? VSC is the one I really want to see take off soon. It’s the next project I’m keeping an eye on and looking forward to trying.
It’s been a while since I last participated in a DeFi platform, and I miss the days of chasing APRs and trading opportunities. The best part is that this DeFi activity happens natively on the Hive chain.
Despite the current price struggles, Hive still holds meaningful potential through its ecosystem and community-driven innovation. It’s important to look beyond short-term market trends and recognize the value being built on the chain. I’m staying hopeful for what’s ahead and excited to see how Hive continues to evolve.

If you look at other altcoins that were hot during 2024 you will see that a lot of those charts look like the Classic Market Psychology chart. So it seems that we had a mini altcoin season culminating with Trump inauguration.
The question is if we are still going to have a real altcoin season later this year... and how will Hive do during that time.

Not the first time we are in such a cycle. And we do see hive able to brave the storms. Key is for more people coming on board to strengthen the community.

The price action has been quite grim for a while now, but what I find significantly more concerning is the low volume we see. Price can be whatever, the real threat is barely scraping by in terms of volume on the exchanges and having them decide we're not worthy of maintaining anymore.
We don't see much price increase these days, probably bears.
