RE: Will People Actually Use Crypto at Walmart?

in LeoFinance2 years ago

For the moment, I expect what Walmart is doing is more publicity than anything, positioning themselves with an image of being cutting edge in the world while actually dabbling in crypto as a tangible payment solution.

We had an art gallery here in our town, and in 2016 were proud to be among the first to have a "Bitcoin accepted here" sign on our front door. And we meant it. But it was functional in an art gallery situation where the average item sold was about $200 and it took *at least 10-15 minutes to safely pack something up, and in most cases artwork was delivered to people's homes, the next day so payment confirmations had time to run their course.

As reality would have it, nobody ever paid with crypto... and then Covid "made the decision FOR us" to close down...

=^..^=
