RE: Hive: Why I'm Still Here...

It's definitely a process. This is my 3rd winter (I think) at least my 2nd. I came on board before all the drama but never gained any traction. Then, when Bitcoin crashed and the flag wars began, I dropped out for a couple years. I think I'm just beginning my 3rd year back. It's so hard to keep track with all the ups and downs. lol Anyway, it's been long enough to feel like "home".

It's a lot of fun to see the potential continue to grow and to share with the community the fruits of all that labor. Even though we're not doing the coding, we are part of the building. Our votes and our posts and comments help keep this place running. Without the community, there's really nothing here. It's like a tree falling in the forest...

I do get a little chuckle out of the "where will we be in 5 years" statements now since I've now actually been here 5 years and price-wise, we're no better than we were. lol That said, the difference in the potential is night and day. I think it's going to be a lot more fun (and gratifying) looking back from 2028.

In the meantime I'm continuing to stack. Our day is coming...

It's interesting. I took a peek in early enough that I saw people liquidating assets and making an early bet on what became Hive and "risky" early bets such as Splinterlands.

These people took a chance and planted their stake, and now are reaping the rewards of their willingness to help build the platform.

It was illuminating to see that play out over the years and only reinforced my connection (and belief) in the community.

I see your HIVE stake and feel the same joy about anyone willing to pitch in and help build this thing. We're just getting started, and I'm pumped for the future of LeoFinance and Hive!
