RE: Why LBI does not downvote

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Salty! :-) I thought it was just me having a bad day yesterday. Maybe it was the moon cycle or something. lol

Yes, I agree with your analysis of the downvote. It really could and should be used more. It is actually a good tool. But you are right, it brings in the possibility of drama and I've got enough of that in other areas of my life. I'm not looking to add to it here.

In the end, it's an inflationary token and we end up taking the good with the bad. While some are probably gaming the system, there is still plenty to go around for those that are not.

Maybe if downvotes required comments explaining why it was downvoted there wouldn't be so much ill will. "I downvoted you because..." But even there I'm sure the other person will want to argue.

In the end, it is what it is. I agree with LBI not downvoting. As an "entity", it should probably remain positive when curating. It doesn't seem like it's been too much of an issue on LEO so...why create tension where it's not really necessary at this point.

Hope today is a better day for you. I'm hoping the same thing for me. :-)

todays a better day 😁

I like that idea of having to leave a message to downvote but it would be abused the same way. "I downvoted you because...your a dickwipe and wish bad things on you"

Hope your day is better today as well
