On the flipside, the Minnesota #wild improved to a crazy 10-1-1 in the month of November by beating the Chicago #blackhawks in overtime, 4-3. After only winning 3 of their first 12 games, the Wild have now climbed back into a playoff position just over a quarter of the way through the season.
There's still a long way to go, but history shows that most teams floundering before Thanksgiving end up on the outside looking in come playoff time. So this hot streak was much needed. Next up? The only team hotter than the Wild: the Colorado #avalanche.
The Avs are actually 10-0-1 in the month of November and have only lost one game in regulation all year. They lead the league in fewest goals allowed (50) while also leading in most goals scored (94) for an insane +44 goal differential. Something's got to give this Saturday.... Go Wild!
