These people just think they're smarter than everyone else and the vast majority of them have been around money-printing so long they don't even recognize it for what it is anymore. If every time you needed money you could just go outside and grab it off your tree, would you worry about how you spent it? No. You'd just do whatever you wanted. You'd buy your friends, you'd buy influence with the businesses in your town, you'd shower your political leaders with gifts, you'd throw it around to the community and try to spread it as far as you could making people like you, and you would for sure make sure your gardener was more than generously paid to keep your tree growing.
