Hive Power Up Day - May 1st 2021
What a long weekend it has been for me already. It started off perfectly with my successful iMac preorder on Friday.
Then it was time for @flowerbaby and I to spend some time together. We went to dinner at Roca’s and a quick run to Kroger. Then we ended up watching Birds of Prey, after we stopped two other movies once we realized that they sucked.
The film ended up up being pretty good, but definitely wasn’t the best DC Comics movie ever. I did like how colorful it was at times. Plus Harley Quinn is pretty unpredictable, so at least it wasn’t boring. @flowerbaby did end up getting too tired and falling asleep before the movie was totally finished. I totally understood that since we had to be up early in the morning.
Upon waking up today, I immediately powered up some HIVE so that I didn’t forget to partake in Hive PUD. It was only 574 HIVE, but it did put me at exactly 60k HP. Of course I also have that generous delegation from @theycallmedan.
Once I powered up, @flowerbaby and I both got ready for our little road trip. We were headed to Red River Gorge in Kentucky for some hiking. Before heading out of town, we got breakfast from Tudor’s Biscuit World and then grabbed some coffee from Starbucks. Following our last preparations, off I drove us in my Audi. It was 157 miles to our first destination. We ended up hiking 4 different trails, so we drove even more once we were there. More on that in my post tomorrow, lots of photos to come.
I swear I think we ended up getting my car the most filthy it has ever been. It felt pretty good to do, the roads in Kentucky were great. We both noticed reduced traffic and excellent pavement. We didn’t run into any potholes, not even on the gravel roads that we ventured down.
All in all, today was a great day. We were driving today for over 6 hours and hiked around 5 miles. We just got home finally and both are pretty exhausted. We are about to shower and then watch this new movie Tenet that premieres on HBO Max tonight.
I can’t wait to start going through all of our photos from today. I will prepare an awesome blog to show off the beauty of Red River Gorge, KY.

I appreciate it! And yes the movie was surprising, but still not going to be one of my favorite movies of all time. My adventures outdoors are much more memorable.
