Sleep is good but don't make it a habit. ALL work without play (sleep) makes (can make) jack (me) a dull boy (entrepreneur). note too, he who loves sleep comes to poverty. It is all about balancing the odds; a healthy habits and a healthy finance too.
I can say this is the advantage of being self employed to some point. Why am I saying so? It comes in two directions; first being the advantage that you can decide when to take a needed break as I just did on a Monday when in actual setting is a get back to work day.
On the other hand, being self employed can also be more like a trap especially for Small and Medium Scale entrepreneurs and sole proprietorship businesses. You can actually be controlled by customer decisions as more workload comes in. In short, this was the situation I faced last week.
I had to work straight and it made my Sunday activities off calculations. I thank God I was actually able to achieve a lot for myself despite the work stress. So what's next on Monday; if we can start early it will be fine. Not bad, but Dani, you are not a robot, take a break. Alright, the decision seemed applicable although I did still put in some in-between chores; a brief meeting with my co-partner and also sending out our weekly bulk messages to customers.

I also spoke with our contract worker concerning what we had to pull out within the next two days and he advised us that we should do it that same yesterday. I had to open up to him that I am taking a needed break and we should do that today or probably on Wednesday. I knew I needed a full time break and I did well to secure it.
I also had to put a message through to a pending employee. Yes, aside from contract workers, there is a need to look into having someone constant in the office to also help in the needed daily activities. Most times due to depending on contract workers, we overspend. Calculate these extra expenses in a month and it is up to paying an employee to constantly keep office activities going and helping us in the process to deliver our services on time.
We can in the process take advantage of general electricity instead of waiting to use our generator when a contract worker arrives. The idea is not bad, we will be working with both and also talking about that, we are scouting for more professional contract workers so that we can offset work delay and well, spend smartly. One thing is delivering quality, another thing is delivering quality on time.
To conclude, let me add, there are a lot of things I am considering; working smart, and spending less are one of those. I can't afford to make work cage me down from other needed activities. life is beyond money and the earlier one understands this and sets his flywheels the better. Ok, yesterday is gone but I really enjoyed the entire full time break. Am I getting another soon? Time will tell.
