You don't need a career to make it. Not anymore, if this be the only few lines you choose to go through in this entire article, do well to let it make much sense. Many things have changed.
Does that sound awkward? Maybe we should rewind back to the era of industrial revolution; a time where employers were constantly looking for employees. Knowing how to read and write made you a hot cake. Having an educational qualification even heightened the matter; you will in the process be exposed to a good pay. It paid out anyway in those times.
Going to school wasn't an easy task, in short, in the African grounds it was the males that were opportuned to see the four walls of the educational institutions. When growing up, one of the bragging rights was attending one of the most expensive schools, colleges and universities.
parents paid much without minding, the idea was, if my child just scales through and secures a good job, the rest is history.
And as I earlier said, the results were showing because the industrial age was in high demand for employees and as long as it was a few hand fold, it was still a good pay. So what happened later? The gap was gradually closing and talking of closing it seems it is currently even no more. We will be focusing on that later, that is the main context of this article as I gradually lay the bedrock.

Thanks to the digital space, asides from working from home, you can school from home. As it stands, you can even be schooling abroad right at the comfort of your room or office space. The educational system is becoming more of ‘let me people go’.
Yes, it doesn't assure you that job security, the industry is becoming very overcrowded; just add it up, who knows?. I guess that old saying; ‘sow your seed in the morning, do not withdraw your hands in the evening for you never can tell which will be profitable; it could be one or perhaps, both’.
We are here now, in an era where you don't need a career to scale. I am not talking of that ‘man know man' system where those who were supposed to get employed are deprived, No. Rather, I am talking of a system where the non-privileged are now very privileged. In short, we are just at the surface of it and I can say it is even very hot already. Are you surprised a 6 year old child can give you an exact working and answer to a quadratic equation?
I know what you are thinking, how will he know? You don't exactly need to know, just have what knows? This is the era we are into. Many are still underrating the potentials of AI, it is here to disrupt old fundamentals. I talked about AI managers yesterday, and indeed it is one of those situations that will promote careerlessness.
I talked about Tilly Norwood and the movie acting industry. The same is also happening with the music industry.

These are just a few of them. So what am I saying? Take for instance I want to build a house and I decided to work with AI generated building plan. How about an accurate cost evaluate of entire building expenses.
I will be offsetting looking for a quantity surveyor. We can even look into proper building selling evaluation by putting in the right detail on an AI platform and get the needed price tag if I wanted to sell out a house.
Does this make me an architect, a quantity surveyor or a real estate value? It can be a yes or no because actually I did all those things out of careerlessness and yet those feedback are genuine to get what needed to be done going. careers have been handed over to artificial intelligence and what is left for us humans is to walk side by side with, leveraging its potential.
To conclude, let me add, I know many will still be relying on the old dice until it gets too late. The era has completely changed or better said, ‘moved on’. The functionalities of the working force are no longer humans but technology. This is what artificial intelligence has brought to the table.
