It's an open-source, noncustodial wallet, so as long as you don't share your recovery phrase with anyone, you're good.

Yes, I know this, but sometimes site require authorities to transfer assets from 3rd party website and this way the user allows authorized site to act on his behalf. This has happened to me with metamask.
Interesting. Dash doesn't have this currently.
