Police cannabis raid lead to a homemade BTC factory in Leicester City

Police who thought they were raiding a cannabis factory linked to a county lines drug route smashed a secret cryptocurrency lab instead. It was reported that thieves have been bypassing electricity to make BTC at a house in the city.

Earlier today, the Leicester city police burst through into the house only to find a cryptocurrency factory and the meter bypassed by the thieves but unfortunately there weren’t present at the time. The computers were seized and enquiries with Western Power revealed the electricity supply had been bypassed and thousands of pounds-worth had been stolen to power the ‘mine’.

The police are still making inquiries and investigating around the house due to the fact that no arrests have been made yet.
Also making Bitcoin involves high-powered computers finding solutions to mathematical puzzles. This is known as “mining”
