We all dream of becoming whales eh? But there is some joy in small steps. When I joined Steemit 5 years ago, I was jealous that some people got over a dollar in upvotes. A dollar! Can you imagine? I passed that milestone myself long ago. Many others along the way. We can take some joy from those.
And you're right, gaining influence in certain tribes is a lot easier. Though we do have to be careful because many tribes don't make it. For example, VYB isn't looking too hot right now.
