I grew up in a home where we talked about money early and I was taught that the value of working and saving. While growing up I realized that many of my friends had a different view of money than, never saved, always spent and never had to work for many.
It wasn’t just a difference in habits; it felt like a completely different lens on life. Where I saw a my paychecks as a tool to build something for my future, like deposit to a appartment, they saw it as a ticket to the next weekend’s fun.
My mindset have help me so always have money in my bankaccount, even going through college I managed to not take the full loans because I could work part-time and during the summer break.
These days when I am older I have realized that learning about finance early has made my life easier in the way that I don't have to worry everyday. The economy is really in a weird place now, but since I never increased my lifestyle at the same rate as my income I can still live comfortly when money get tighter.
In my next coming posts I will break down the breakdown for my student loan and how I hopefully can make a big dent in it this year. Thats one of the great things in Sweden that you can actually do as many payments you want whenever you want.
