I have argued that this is actually a positive thing for HBD. Trying to maintain the peg perfectly under stress comes with some downsides (see Terra).
But we're only setting ourselves up to fail continuously if we keep calling it a stablecoin when it doesn't fulfill what most people expect from a stablecoin.
Step 1. We tell people HBD is a stablecoin.
Step 2. People see it spike and crash.
Step 3. We tell people HBD is still stable.
Step 4. People conclude that HBD and Hive is a scam, because the promoters keep lying about it.
