Even the people who give up everything but what they need to survive, are collecting something, even if it is imaginary points they believe they need, for an imaginary afterlife.

I think being a collector and then letting go is kind of a cycle. When both those things we get tired of is when life kind of gets boring and then just becomes harder to live as well. I feel it's a good for emotional health to be a collector of memories. :)

But, even our memories are not collected well - we remember so poorly, adding detail, forgetting fact - making it into a story. So, is it really valuable that we "did it" when we actually won't remember it for what it was?
