I can relate to this personally.
But I can also say that it's kinda different in Nigeria, at least in my own experience.
If a job pays well, Nigerians would stay there for a really long time.
We have a way of developing tolerance ... resistance to unhealthy relationships at work, as long as the money keeps coming in steadily.
Is it a good thing?
I don't know...
Maybe it's bad.
Maybe it helps more people suppress their anxieties and worries instead of dealing with them.
Or maybe it helps them develop a tough skin for adversity.
Either way, Nigerians would rather endure than break up.
It depends on needs - not everyone has the opportunity to pick and choose what they do, and still live as they want or can. Most places - any job is better than no job.
