Day 80 - Society isn't Cashless... Yet

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Two quarantines later, lockdown is beginning to ease, as contact tracking and mandatory testing / vaccines are rolled out. Massive social engineering has reshaped our everyday lives while we've been locked down. Our ability to pay with private currency - cash - has been greatly diminished by the crisis, but not yet removed completely.

Wearing a mask at a restaurant is about as stupid as wearing one while on video by yourself indoors. It's become iconic, virtue signalling, ugh what else...

I remember at the 420 Farmers' Market, so many people would ask us if we take electronic payment. I would laugh at them, and some friends would joke we have somewhere you can swipe it, but I dunno if it'll do anything! But alas, some vendors did start to have little apple pay tap boxes or whatever.

It wouldn't even be so bad they're bringing digital payment shit IN, if they weren't also trying to force cash OUT. If there was always going to be an option, it would almost be okay. But that's never been the plan... it has always been to do away with cash and close that privacy door forever.

Gupta does not look well.
