RE: Hive And The Future of Jobs

in LeoFinance2 years ago

While I do agree that decentralized applications will be a great way to preserve individual power, there are also some drawbacks. The proliferation of AI content on Hive is not such a great thing in my mind, especially if it is eroding the reward-earning power of creators making original content without the use of a simple prompt to spin up the content.

I am not nearly nuanced enough in LLM to understand the implications of unoriginal content being posted to Hive to farm rewards, but I know it won't be me churning out trite content to milk the profits. I'm sure there is plenty of interesting and valuable content using AI for assistance, but I would wager there is more useless content coming from AI than beneficial. It will be telling to see how these issues are health with in the Hive ecosystem in the coming years.

Although we have the ability to downvote, will the average human be able to tell what is original thought and what is AI generated? If the content is educational or of value to the community as a whole, should it matter is it was AI generated? These are all very important questions for the blockchain to come to terms with, and without a great answer. Time will tell!
