Ironically, the metaverse and all its sub-par current level of development & entertainment is starting to become more and more attractive as gas prices go up.
I might actually build a new computer after 7 years because I don't see tech prices going down, only up, and it will be only more and more expensive to travel.
Maybe disappearing into a videogame or two or other form of digital entertainment and riding out this nightmare for a year and a half (which is how long I suspect it will last), is the better option now for a lot of people.
I know a happy thing for our family is our meemaw put up a pop-up pool last week and we've finally been able to start swimming as the weather warms up, so that's been nice.
Just be careful not to loose yourself in that gaming realm.
