For Ethereum to stay relevant in the future, I do very much understand this transition to Eth2.0. Didn't realise it'll take that long, a few years. Do you happen to know what the status of the original Eth1.0 (PoW) chain will be? You suggest everything will be moved to PoS in the end, so I suppose Eth1.0 will be dismanteled at some point in time? I also wonder what will happen with the current Ether token. I suppose at some point in time a swap to the Eth2.0 token(s) needs to happen. Do you have any information or ideas on this?

The token is the same. No swaps. And yes the eth1 network will stop operating in the future.
