I find it hard getting gifts for my girlfriend, so the thought of getting gifts for anyone never crosses my mind because I am an emotional person and hate to realize that the gift I bought for someone wasn't appreciated as much as I thought it should.
Instead of buying gifts for your gf this valentine, take her to a place where she could learn something that will be useful for her future and pay for the training. Not everyday we buy gifts that are soon forgotten.
Gift giving is one of those arts I have not mastered. I have a hard time with it too.
