I just wanted to remind you that one of the first things he said he'll do (of course, this doesn't mean he will actually do it, but at least, he showed intention) is to make the base code of Twitter open source
(as long as he keeps his word and do this) This would not only lead us to many possible community-driven improvements in Tw itself (just like in Linux), but also to the possibility of forks, and independent alpha versions.
It is funny, that the number one guy in terms of centralization of capital, actually believes in decentralization. This is something we all should be grateful for.
In the meantime, let's always hope for the best.
