Leofinance and Hive: My experience so far

I joined the Hive platform at the beginning of this month, November. I had heard about Hive but never bothered to check it out. I made a decision to start publishing some of my thoughts on crypto and Leofinance appeared in my google search as a viable option.
I signed up on Leofinance and discovered it was actually part of a larger system, the Hive ecosystem. So despite Leofinance being my entry point, I found myself exploring the Hive ecosystem.

So far, my experience on Hive has been a mixed bag. The awe and joy of a new platform with so much to explore has been sometimes dampened by the somewhat "strange" configuration of the platform.
For the past few days I have basically been stumbling about, trying to understand the features, their functions and how things work. Numerous google searches have given me an idea of how Hive operates and I think I'm finally getting a feel for how things connect and work in the Hive ecosystem in general.
I do wish that on-boarding documentation was more easily accessible. Maybe pinned as a top-level menu option or something. Or maybe an on-boarding hashtag.
Did notice a couple of things I don't like about the platform but won't talk about them for now.

I tried out the blogging system, published a number of articles from Leofinance and then later from hive.blog, got some upvotes. That made me feel good! Got some badges later on, that made me feel better! Just got my first earnings to my wallet from Leofinance, that feels even better! My earnings from the article is not much but I'm happy all the same.

I don't know how the reward system actually works because the articles I found explain one thing but in practice it seems to be a different thing. Reward transactions show one thing, wallet values show a different thing. Hive power, Leo power, delegation and what-have-you, have got me all confused. Still familiarizing myself with the various concepts and their application .

Looking to the future, given the variety of communities I have discovered on Hive, I hope to publish more varied articles whenever I get the chance, not just about crypto anymore. And hopefully make some significant amount of income alongside.

Really hoping this turns out to be a worthwhile venture.
